Review: Lost by Carrie Aarons

I am at a loss of words. This book is so different from any of Aaron’s other books, I was taken by surprise. Lost is something that I never saw coming.

The imagery, emotion and angst radiate from the pages and holds the reader captive. I absolutely love that this author has journeyed into new territory and made it her bitch.

As with all of Aaron’s books, the characters are well developed and relatable. You can identify and bond with them from the very first page. Aarons takes a typical boy next door romance and turns it on it’s head. No flowers and sweet, swoon-worthy late night stolen kisses here. There is grit and suspense and a struggle to move forward; and Aarons does it flawlessly.

I am purposefully being vague because I was so shocked by this story line and I want you to be as well. I don’t think it’s fair to ruin the fun.

I am ready to be Found in book two because this cliffy is sweet torture.
